    Throwback Thursday

An advert in the 1991 Sigma 38 Handbook - "Sailing means different things to different people. Some sail for the challenge. Others sail to escape to a world of peace and relaxation. Many do both. But everyone needs to step back, take stock and consolidate, every once in a while. It seems we are all getting older, starting to question the sanity of flashing round the cans in early spring, and even the decision to concentrate spring sailing into two the weekends of the Warsash Spring Championships is not

    Hamble Winter Series Round Up

Day 8, as with Day 6, of the Garmin Hamble Winter Series was cancelled due to strong wind forecasts. Ironically for the races that have gone ahead the wind, without exception, has been very light and have tested crews' tactical knowledge and composure. Nine out of twelve races were completed, besides the two windy Sundays one was lost to absolutely no wind. Persephone came first overall, dominating the Sigma 38 fleet by chalking up six
