    Light Wins Hamble River Wed. Night Series A

    Light has won the HRSC Wednesday night, eight race series A. Co-owner Rob Denning has been a stalwart of Hamble Wednesday nights for more years than he can count.   • RTI 2015 - Ideal Sigma 38 Conditions.

    A good breeze with gust of up to 18 knots and sunshine - perfect summer sailing for the 28 fleet strong Sigma 38s. 9 Sigma 38s finished in the top 100 boats and 12 completed the 50 miles circumnavigation in less than 8 hours.     28 Sigma 38 Entries for 2015 Round the Island Race

    A total of 28 Sigma 38s are anticipating good summer conditions for this year's RTI, 23 in IRC Division 2D and 5 in ISCRS Division 4D. Sigma 38s are one of the biggest one design entries for this classic 50 nautical mile circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight where Olympic stars compete with Corinthian sailors.     RORC Morgan Cup

    This weekend 5 Sigma 38s competed in the 125 nautical miles Morgan Cup to Guernsey, revelling in mid summer conditions.With Alacrity was first, finishing less than a minute behind Griff Rhys Jones' classic yawl Argyll. They also came third in IRC 4. Peter Hopps' Sam made a welcome return, fresh from the Caribbean, and finished second. Vitesse, third with Rho and Paracelsus following in that order.

    Taittinger Regatta - Friday 24 - Sunday 26th July

Entry for this increasingly popular and competitive regatta, hosted by the Royal Solent with sponsorship by Taittinger Champagne, is now open.     RORC De Guingand Bowl

    Six Sigma 38s - Persephone, With Alacrity, Gauntlet, Galliver, Vitesse, and Mouflon Noir competed in the RORC De Guingand Bowl and finished in that order. With a sunset race out of the Solent and eventually finished in a sunny Cherbourg the race took just over 20 hours.Persephone finished strongly crossing the line forth overall in IRC 4. A huge congratulations to Gauntlet of Tamer, third Sigma 38 and well up in IRC. And well done

  • RORC Myth of Malham

    Ten Sigma 38s lined up on the startling for the RORC Myth of Malha, Eddystone Lighthouse race over this Bank Holiday Weekend. This Fastnet qualifier saw the biggest RORC fleet since the 2013 Fastnet Race. With relatively light winds the tidal flow over the 229 mile course made for a tense, tactical and complex race, an ideal rehearsal for the Fastnet itself. The tension was no where more evident on the Sigma 38 Class leaders,
