Six Sigma 38s competed in the Royal Solent Taittinger Regatta, making up a third of IRC3. Although the winds were very light, particularly on Saturday, racing in the Western Solent in spring tides was tactically exceptionally challenging and demanded intense concentration. The fabulous warm sunshine, the picturesque Yarmouth and the Royal Solent's hospitality made it seem like a real holiday.

Andrew Gordon, owner of Panda Nova, who raced with his two children summed up the weekend - "As new entrants to the Taittinger regatta we found it a brilliant sharpener for Cowes Week as well as offering really competitive racing in its own right with 20 plus boats in IRC 3 including 6 Sigma 38s. With the fantastic social events on all days it also has a festive atmosphere and is very family friendly. Our children (7 & 8) had plenty to do off the water -  there was space to play and lots of other children of various ages – and, surprisingly, animals on some of the yachts! Our son said that the Towers Party was the ‘best ever party’ and cried when he had to leave."
